Melissa earned her BA in Dance from Columbia College Chicago in 2006. In her time at Columbia she studied just about every form of dance except aerial; but since joining AMEBA, she has been nothing but amazed and excited by the artform. She previously studied and performed at Michigan State University under Dr. Dixie Durr and worked with Houston based choreographer Kista Tucker. In 2004, she attended the American College Dance Festival in Detroit with Michigan State's "Orchesis". Before college Melissa danced at Jo's Footwork Studio, in Western Springs, Illinois with Mari Jo Irbe. She was part of The Eurythmic Dance Company for four years under the direction of Terry Wethington and traveled to Miami, FL for the National High School Dance Festival. Melissa would like to thank her family for their love and support, all her teachers for their patience and guidance, and Kip and Chloe for this amazing job!
