Denise danced and performed in the Miami University Dance Theatre Company for four years, as well as choreographed for the company three times and served as the President her senior year. Denise was also the recipient of the 2004-2005 Grace Clapp-Dome Dance Scholarship. While at Miami, Denise built upon a modern and jazz based dance background as well as had the opportunity to work with/experience multiple well-known modern choreographers, companies, and dance festivals. Prior to her dance career, Denise was a competitive rhythmic gymnast for eleven years with Illinois Rhythmic Gymnastic Center (Deerfield) and was a member of the 2001 1st place National group team. Currently, Denise works to expand her dance vocabulary and strengthen her technique through dance workshops and weekly classes, and is thrilled to be dancing with AMEBA for her second season.
