Core Dancer
Carolyn is a native to the Chicago-land area. She began dancing early as a
child and later developed a passion for the art. Carolyn received a B.S.
degree in Dance with a minor in Health Education from Southern
Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). At SIUE Carolyn received
numerous dance scholarships from both the school and private benefactors,
as well as several choreography awards allowing her choreography to travel.
Carolyn's choreography has been performed in Colorado, Illinois, Missouri,
and Texas. Carolyn worked with the Chicago Lyric Opera during The
Ring Cycle
in Gotterdammerung. Carolyn also enjoyed performing for people gathered from
around the world at The Rotary International Convention. Carolyn has had the
opportunity to teach workshops and set pieces on the dance students at Wheeling,
Vernon Hills, and Buffalo Grove High School Carolyn also held workshops
for students from throughout the State at the Illinois State High School
Theatre Festival. Carolyn currently teaches dance and creative movement
in the northern suburbs. Carolyn has been a member of AMEBA since 2004
and looks forward to another season.
